The Selectmen of the Town should be informed that the request for money from the
Town may be increased from the last-budgeted $25,000 to $27,500. -
The Community Hall will need the other side of the roof reshingled next year,
and the pump house conversion to a garage will cost some money. Thus the
buildings/utilities line item reflects these projections. It was decided to
break down the buildings/utilities line item, since money spent on buildings is
more of a capital investment, while utilities covers running expenses. -
It was suggested that new, separate line items be created for each
infrastructure phase. For example, the first payment of $9300 on Phase I loans
is due this year, and should be clearly noted. -
It was suggested that at the end of the year, the Overseers set up a special
account to hold any money left in the wharf/float line item, thus establishing a
reserve account for repair/replacement costs.
A
lengthy discussion followed and adjustments made to the budget as presented.
Metcalf moved, seconded by Brockway, that the budget which has been
characterized as 2005-B as adjusted through the conversations today be presented
to voters at the Annual Meeting. Voted. Warrant/Annual
