Overseers Meeting

May 4, 2007

On May 4, 2006, a special meeting of the NVC Overseers was called to determine action for repair of the municipal wharf and other public shorefront properties damaged in the April 19, storm.

The meeting began with an executive session.

Following the executive session, the meeting was called to order by President Huntoon at 4:30 PM. Overseers in attendance were:  P. Allen, M. Brockway, W. Cressey, J. Metcalf, and J. Rohweder.

Motion by Metcalf: To increase Bill Paige’s salary by 4% effective April 1, 2007. Second by Rohweder. Voted.

Motion by Metcalf: To authorize B. Paige to provide temporary repairs to the wharf and associated structures to enable safe use by the public during the summer season. Second by Cressey.Voted

Motion by Metcalf: To have the President determine the procedures to borrow funds to provide permanent repairs to the wharf and associated structures. These funds have been authorized in Article 8 of the Village Warrant at the annual meeting of the Village on August 8, 2006. Second by Rohweder. Voted

Motion by Metcalf: To authorize Bill Paige to remove the old boat float. Second by Rohweder. Voted

Bill Paige was instructed to continue his pursuit of any FEMA, or other governmental body, grants or assistance for relief of storm damage.
