Report Sewer Department November
2007 Effluent Monitoring Data For the month of November there were no license exceptions. Flow averaged 30,977 GPD compared to 42,600 GPD in November 2006. Rainfall totaled 6.47 inches compared to 5.8 inches in November 2006. November

Snapshot The NVC will be in full compliance of its discharge license in December. There were no violations for the entire year 2007. Maple
Street Odor Complaint The
break a sewer lateral between Maple and Interim Funding Report No. 9 to Repair and Improve the NVC Sewer Treatment System has been sent. Pursuant to the requirements of the August of 2003 Consent Agreement, this is the ninth of nine semi-annual letter reports updating the Department on the NVC’s efforts to find funding to improve its sewer collection system and wastewater treatment plant. (Copy of the letter is attached to these minutes) Water Department November Water consumption in November averaged 12,569 GPD compared to 15,181 GPD in November of 2006. The average weekly chlorine residual in the drinking water was .05 ppm compared to the recommended level of less than .2 ppm. The lone monthly coliform test result was negative. Bill Paige reported that there were approximately 60-70 meters that were impossible to read for the January billing because of high snow surrounding them. Those accounts will be given an estimated bill based on last year’s usage. Utility Applications Connections not completed yet have been postponed till spring. Financials Chairman
Crofoot has communicated with Julian Sheffield about the funds not moved to the
Sewer Account yet and has been assured that it will be taken care of soon. USDA-RD
Bond: Bond money is now available
through the Bangor Savings Bank with a line of credit of $400,000.

DEP Bond is being sought for infrastructure repairs, specifically the
replacement of approximately 800 feet of Sewer line in Old
Business Bartels reported that five Sewer Liens will be placed on January 10, 2008.
New
Business Next Billing will go out January 15, 2008. Adjourn Metcalf motioned, Strauss seconded to adjourn at 3:35 PM –Voted, All in Favor. |
