THE 1ST MONDAY AND THE 3RD MONDAY OF EACH MONTH.

Committees & Communications

Next Selectmen's Meeting Monday 10/20 at 8AM

Comprehensive Plan Committee: Review voting procedure suggestion for written ballot.

Special Town Meeting: May not be necessary once we establish direction we take re; voting procedure.

Administrative Ordinances: Posted on community web site.

Transfer Station Committee: Next meeting scheduled for Thursday 10/30 at 7:30AM . New recycling containers in place for newsprint, mixed paper, clear plastic, colored plastic and tin. 

 

Roads & Bridges

To do: Ditching by Drinkwater School and Birchcrest culvert.

Shim Beech Hill Small Road to Route 1: $101,628. Status of Knight Pond Road ???

Bid awarded to Suydam & Sons for 3,000 yards of winter sand.  2 bids received.

Hold off on all other spending.

               

Financial:

Denise Lindahl to coordinate with Jim Cummings that "auto transfer in place for CDBG grant

bullet

The "big dig" is stretching our "little budget". John Fancy reclarified project costs.

$41,000 remains to be spent on town roads relative to Phase 1 of the water & sewer project. $70,000 has been committed for Phase 2 that will be spent in FY 03.

The cost of storm drainage work on Shore Road : $89,010

bullet

Replacing of the Kelly Cove Bridge estimating $30,000

bullet

We have $113,000 committed for FY 04 relative to Phase 2: Bluff Road .

Normal repairs & maintenance slated is $150,000: on hold!

bullet

We have $126,000 left in the budget for Roads & Bridges plus $200,000 coming from excise taxes, which totals $326,000.

Hold off on Bluff Road resurface until 04

Hold off on R&M projects until we have a clear picture of all the $ numbers

Commit to Shore Road Drainage & Kelly Cove Bridge .

Decision for a telephone system for the Town Office still pending

Hold off on installation of cemetery fence until spring and funds are more readily available

 

Code Enforcement, Planning & Permits

CEO to attend meeting of 10/20/03

ZBA requested procedural review & clarifications from the Town Attorney.

A training session with Town Attorney was also suggested to answer groups' questions.

Ashley Landry's request for an under town road water line status uncertain??

C. Dhyse water project in Temple Heights reviewed. Left it with two attorneys to finalize details involved in drafting a "Revocable License". Dhyse to his revise survey and legal description, mark line, and review on site with Road Commissioner--resubmit 10/20
