Special Town Meeting:  On Comprehensive Plan:

Special Town Meeting to vote on "the Comprehensive Plan" is set for Monday 12/8/03 at 7PM Blue Goose.

Transfer Station Committee

Next meeting scheduled for Thursday 12/04/03 at 7:30AM .

We are now taking some "universal household waste".**

**Items include TV's, computers, mercury thermostats, mercury thermometers, flashlight            batteries, re-chargeable batteries, fax machines, copiers.

Move shed before winter and place on blocks. Burgess seeking bids. bullet

Expanded recyclables program seems to be working well.

 

Roads & Bridges

Pound Hill has been graded along with Bluff Road .

Shim coat Beech Hill Small Road to Route 1: $101,628. Work is in progress.

Status of Knight Pond Road is completed. One icy spot to be addressed. $18,000 cost.

Sand Pile has been organized & cleaned up.

Approved $4000 max for emergency ditching on Bluff Road . Work completed.

               

Financial

Denise Lindahl/Jim Cummings implemented "auto transfer" procedure for CDBG grant.

Kelly Cove Bridge : hold off. They were able to route the new water line above bridge area.

Tax revenues coming in.

 

Policy Decisions, Administration & Miscellaneous

Decision for a telephone system for the Town Office still pending

Paul Nyren of 779 Shore Road is developing a lot or two in Birchcrest. He requested permission to put steps down to the water utilizing a town ROW at the end of Summit Ave. in Birchcrest at his expense. Selectmen to review ramifications of request. #338-0066

Todd Merolla to attend Blaine House Conference on Natural Resource-Based Industries on 11/17.

Letter received from Veronica Wardwell re: local cable. Burgess to follow up with Adelphia.

 

Code Enforcement, Planning & Permits

Bill Kelly to meet with ZBA on 11/18 at 6:30 PM at Town Office to review bylaws and procedures.

Phase 2: Price on replacing Kelly Cove Bridge is $30,000. Project put on hold.
