Town Office. Elections for the
following positions: Selectman, Road Commissioner, and School Board Member.
Polls open from ·
Annual
Town Meeting is scheduled for May
5th at Blue Goose, ·
A Public Hearing was held on the
Comprehensive Plan March 19th at the ·
Land
Use Ordinance Committee: To
draft warrant articles for shore land zoning amendments and flood plain
regulations for Town Meeting ·
Administrative
Ordinances: The
plan is to use the budgeted services of Eric Galant/Eastern Maine Development
Corp to pull this together. J. Burgess to coordinate. ·
Budget
Committee: Suggesting warrant article to change town fiscal year to match the
State's (July 1st thru June 30th). Change to take place in 2004.
Warrant article drafted. Also supporting investigating a 2.5 million dollar
"bond issue" to address our roads. Cost of servicing the bond
projected to be lower than cost of road maintenance/reconstruction. ·

Harbor
Committee: Issues
still revolve around aqua-culture permitting process, moorings application time
table, and control/jurisdiction/definition of local waters. Selectman to have
Bill Kelly attend our next meeting for a legal opinion, guidance and direction. Financial:

A committee of three (3) has been
established to complete 911 maps with road names. Currently 71 Fire Roads
require names to be submitted by Bayside Village ·
Phase II on water down Bluff and
Shore Roads. Hearing scheduled. CBDG Grant with regard to water line extension and funding ·
Water Utility District under
discussion ·
Selectmen support Warrant Article
to raise and appropriate $25,000 for NVC Future Agenda Items ·
