Committees & Communications

Saturday May 3rd at the Town Office. Elections: Polls open from 8AM to 6PM

Annual Town Meeting is scheduled for May 5th at Blue Goose 7PM

Land Use Ordinance Committee: Next meeting April 24th.

Administrative Ordinances: Eric Galant/Eastern Maine Development Corp to pull this together, coordinating and working with the selectmen.

Budget Committee:  Article to change town fiscal year to match the State's was removed from this warrant due to scheduled revaluation that would make things more complicated than necessary.

$2.5 million dollar "bond issue" warrant article drafted.

bullet

Transfer Station Committee: Next Meeting Thursday May 8th at 7:30AM . NEW MEMBERS WELCOME. Pine Tree Waste to attend also Environ Services for "universal waste".

Harbor Committee: Warrant articles related to aqua-culture and harbor limits was tabled until we get further legal interpretation on ramifications & liabilities; issue also withheld until we hear the out come of public hearings (scheduled for 4/9/03) that are being held on the State level. Selectmen to send letter to standing committee for Marine Resources.

Roads & Bridges

Amon Morse & R.F. Whiteley presented "interrogational" communication with regard to snow removal contract. Paul Rooney to follow up.

$2,000 to be spent over on the Rocky Road for tree work in town right of way.

RSMS still under utilized. Meet with Phil Curtis.

Status of insurance bond. Status of billings for Bog Road culverts.

Magruder to list Spring Projects.

 

Real Estate Assessors Functions… Tax Policy… Liens & Collections

Follow up item: "Aqua-culture" rafts. Check to see if we can collect personal property taxes from the business. Ramification for other shore based businesses? 

 

Transfer & Recycling Station

New floating dock system for Saturday Cove ready to go.

See about collecting a mooring fee for aqua-culture operation.

Status: A committee of three (3) members has been established to complete 911 maps.

 

Bayside Village

Phase II on water down Bluff and Shore Roads. Hearing scheduled 4/14 for CBDG Grant funding.
